What it means to be a responsible leader

by | May 29, 2019 | Universal Leadership

We hear a lot about responsibility and accountability in business, but what does it mean to be a responsible leader that finds satisfaction with their role?

Well, we think it includes some of the following:

  • They know how to set reasonable boundaries.
  • They keep their eyes on the mission.
  • They are brave enough to stand up for what is right.
  • They own the actions and results for their team.
  • They know their company’s business and the business of their customers.
  • They know how to keep a confidence and what’s important to share.
  • They make sure they have balance in their lives, attending to family and making sure their team can.
  • They care about results and deliverables, not process or attendance.

What ways do you believe that leaders show responsibility?
